Comparison
OKLocate vs Google Maps Platform
The default location stack: geocoding, maps, places and routing, worldwide, with the deepest POI data anyone has.
Where OKLocate is the better choice
You keep what you retrieve. Geocode an address and the coordinate is yours to store, join and ship, with no cache window and no rule about which map you draw it on. One flat monthly rate covers geocoding, typeahead, the base map and imagery on a single key. On top of that sits a US property question Google cannot answer at any price: the roof measured from LiDAR, the pool called from 30 cm imagery, and a whole county filterable on either.
Where Google Maps Platform is the better choice
Worldwide coverage and places data we do not attempt. If you need an address in Jakarta or a restaurant's opening hours, use Google. We are United States only and have no POI layer.
